A Trail Bike needs to be ridden - so I told the wife I was off to get a little mud in the tires. I was looking forward to it - I hadn't ridden the trailbike since I ran her in prior to a period of motorcycle rental in Toulouse. We had not had much success in hiring her in Pau, or Biarritz so that was a necessary tour. She was much more appreciated in Toulouse - with one person even coming from Carcassonne to rent the motorcycle. Of course - doing motorcycle rentals mean you have to market the business too, So, I took the camera and headed off towards the hills.

There is a simple rule for trail riding in France - don't go anywhere it says 'interdit' - don't cross any little bits of string (typically light blue nylon string).

Otherwise the trails are fairly open - as I only has an hour or so I headed to our local forestry commission patch for a quick blast. Although I'm getting on a bit now - I have to confess to really enjoying a bit of gentle trail-riding.

The trailbike behaved herself beautifully throughout - but the rider was the problem - just not fit enough to get through the mud - see below. Enjoy the photos of one of our motorcycles for hire in its element. Bill Shaw
